My pet’s moulting is driving me crazy!

Firstly – why do pets moult?

Mother Nature provides signals (temperature and day length) which “tell” a dog what season it is and determine what type of coat it needs.  Many pets shed their undercoat each spring to help them cope with the warmer summer weather and re-grow it again as colder temperatures set back in.

But our modern brightly lit, warm, centrally heated houses give our dogs signals to start moulting. If they go outside, they get signals that its cold and need to grow a new coat, then come inside and lose it again!

Nutrition also plays a major part, particularly the levels of oils such as omega 3 and 6 in the skin, as these help to keep it moist, supple and healthy. The hair follicle and the hair it produces are part of the outer layer of the skin. So the condition of the skin strongly affects moulting patterns.

To help cope with your pet’s moulting, the Mikki Moult Master is the ultimate tool and will give you a beautifully groomed pet and a hair free home in no time!

The Mikki Moult Master is designed with professional use in mind to you save time and energy.  It is easy to use with a lightweight, ergonomic handle and stainless steel (anti-rust), heat treated teeth for long lasting, durability.  The double edged teeth give you double the grip and double the effectiveness, leaving you a well groomed pet to show off to your friends.

Begin your grooming regime with the Anti-Tangle Moulting Comb to ensure your pets coat is knot and tangle free and any excess dead hair is removed.  Before using the Moult Master, ensure your pet’s coat is clean/washed and the coat is completely dry.

It is best to use the Moult Master outdoors or in an easy to clean area.

Hold the Moult Master with your thumb on top of the grip behind the head. With smooth, even strokes, applying a little pressure, move in the direction of the coat. The undercoat and dead hair will come out painlessly, giving an even glossed finish to the coat.

Do not over repeat the process in any one area and do not use on delicate areas such as ears, stomach or around the eyes or genitals.

Always replace the Moult Master tooth guard when not in use.

The Mikki Moult Master is not designed to be used on wool coats i.e. Poodle, Puli & Bichon Frise.
